It began intuitively, by collecting feathers from pavements, along the water’s edge, near a supermarket, in a park or a cemetery… The Ciels series allows me to explore the connections between humans and birds within a given territory, and to weave relationships between these two species.

Over the past few years, my obsession with feathers has led me to collect them along my daily journeys, walks and travels, mainly in the streets and parks of my neighbourhood in Brussels, but also along the Belgian coast, where I have spent time on several occasions. Over time, I have collected a considerable number of feathers from birds that fly over, visit or inhabit these territories.
